Boris A. Abreu is a policy and coalitions professional who serves as Policy Director at POLARIS National Security, where he helps shape the organization’s strategy, communications, and policy initiatives.

Previously, Boris served as Policy Director at a private consulting firm serving business leaders, industry executives, and philanthropists across the United States. There, he led the firm’s policy portfolio across a broad range of issues, including national security, foreign affairs, and economic policy. Boris developed content and analysis for members, convened briefings, produced weekly policy and political updates, and served as the chief architect of policy programming for flagship events.

Boris previously served as an Associate of External Affairs on the Coalitions team at the American Enterprise Institute, where he worked with federal, state, and local policy professionals to link the Institute’s research with policymakers and other stakeholders and build coalitions of like-minded leaders. He also helped recruit for and run programming for the Leadership Network, shaped engagement with partner organizations, and managed the team’s internal metrics, newsletter, and contact management systems.

Earlier in his career, Boris worked as a Global Intelligence Research Analyst at BSI Group Americas, where he used open-source intelligence to monitor global supply chains, document and analyze emerging threats, and produce reports for clients detailing supply chain risks.

A Georgia native, Boris holds a Master of International Policy with a focus on Energy Security and Nonproliferation from the University of Georgia’s Benson-Bertsch Center for International Trade & Security, as well as B.A. degrees in International Affairs and Political Science from the University of Georgia.
